Hey everyone, thanks for visiting my blog.
So for those of you who don’t know, I spent my last summer in the “Big Apple.” New York City is definitely somewhere you have to visit in your lifetime. From the amazing architecture to the incredible shopping, the city really does never sleep. I have formed a list of my top ten places to visit and things to do for anyone who is interested in visiting NYC.
Hope you like it!
- The Empire state building.
This goes without saying as a must do in NYC. I personally found the view even more spectacular at night. I would recommend going up at a time that you can see the sunset. That way its the best of both worlds as you see the view in daylight and you also get to see all the lights of the city when its dark. This view definitely makes you appreciate the city.
2. The Boat House in central park
The Boat House in Central Park is one of the most beautiful sites in the city. I walked all the way through central park to get here and it was so nice. If you are a Gossip Girl fan then you will love Central Park. You can also rent a little row boat for an hour which is always a bit of craic.
3. Bergdorf Goodman
I absolutely love Bergdorf Goodman. Although I couldn’t afford anything in there, anytime I went into the city I had to go in for a look. It has every designer you could imagine, including a floor that is just full of designer gowns. It’s any fashion addict’s dream.
4. Madame Tussaud’s
Just off Broadway, such good craic.
5. A Broadway show.
I went to see the Lion King on Broadway and it was the most amazing show I have ever seen. Although with the Lion King and Wicked you normally have to book in advance, with many shows you can just go in on the day and see what is available. That way it is so much cheaper.
If you are a makeup lover like me then you can’t go to New York without going to a Sephora. They are amazing and they aren’t any in Ireland so Sephora is a must.
7. Time Square
If you wanna feel like you’re in a movie, this is where you gotta go.
8. Brooklyn Bridge
Its worth the walk, the view is amazing and its really close to China Town in case you’re looking for some “designer” threads. 😉
9. Top of the Rock
The view is as good if not better than the Empire State building. Its cheaper and you get to see the Empire State building from it. Definitely worth the visit.
10. Ground Zero
The final must see. It’s incredible.
Hope you enjoyed this blog post and get to visit these places on any trips to NYC! Thanks for reading
